Build budget plan files
A budget includes plan files for each department, that are organized into file groups. Each group typically contains a single year's budget. You build and process plan files to create plan files for a new year.
IMPORTANT: Before you build and process plan files, first load and reconcile the data. If you use custom plan file builds or plan file process jobs, check your settings against the standard version. Some settings, such as AQ settings, might have changed.
Budget file groups are composed of plan files with budget data for each department in the organization. When you clone a file group, do not copy individual plan files. Instead, use the Build and process budget plan files job in the Axiom Scheduler to generate a new set of plan files for the new budget year.
Budget plan files are generated from templates. The templates and configurations for each department are based on settings in the Budget Configuration and Assumptions driver files.
Within the job, create and process are separated into two tasks so each can run independently.

Go to Bud Admin > Prepare Budget Plan Files and double-click Build & Process Budget Plan Files.

In the Job tab, go to Tasks > Create Plan Files.

Go to Select File Group and click the folder icon.

Select the file group.

(Optional) Go to Plan Files > Use filter to add filters. Filters let you process specific plan files, such as Entity or Dept.

Click Run Once to create the plan files.
