Collect prerequisite information

Before creating the job, verify that you have the following information:

  • The name of your Active Directory domain or the server name that hosts Active Directory. You must provide this information to identify the source domain for the import.

  • The user credentials to use to access Active Directory. You can specify a username and password or use the credentials of the Axiom service that performs the process.

  • The groups to import from Active Directory. You must know the names of the groups to import from Active Directory. All users in the selected groups are imported into Axiom Budget Planning and Performance Reporting. If you do not have groups that correspond exactly with the users to create in Axiom Budget Planning and Performance Reporting, you must work with your IT department to create new groups or refine existing groups.

  • The Axiom Budget Planning and Performance Reporting roles, subsystems, user license types, and authentication types for each imported group. When users are imported, you can automatically assign them to one or more roles and subsystems in Axiom Budget Planning and Performance Reporting and assign a user license type and an authentication type.
