Create new users using Active Directory import
For each unique username in the import, Axiom Budget Planning and Performance Reporting looks for a matching username in Axiom Budget Planning and Performance Reporting Security. If no match is found, a new user is created. If a match is found, specific user synchronization behavior applies.
The Active Directory domain name determines matching users for the Active Directory import. If a username matches, but the domain does not, that user is not considered to be a match.
New users are created with the following user properties:
- Login (from Active Directory)
- Domain (from Active Directory)
- First name (from Active Directory)
- Last name (from Active Directory)
- Email address (from Active Directory)
- License type (from Scheduler task settings)
- Authentication (from Scheduler task settings)
- Enabled (from Scheduler task settings)
- Assigned roles (from Scheduler task settings)
- Assigned subsystems (from Scheduler task settings)
- Directory sync enabled (assumed as enabled)
NOTE: The imported user's domain does not appear in the Security dialog. Instead, it is stored in the database and reported using an Axiom query to the Axiom.Principals table. The relevant domain also appears before each username when using Open Security. The domain is stored in the event that two users with the same username are imported from different domains.
