Budget Global Labor Premium Dollars

Overview

Use the Budget Global Labor Premium Dollars driver to review:

  • Historical prior year actual

  • Current year budget

  • Current year YTD data

Use a GlobalPremium filter to import this data into the driver. The source for the data is the Act_Pay27 and Bud_Pay12 tables.

You can then decide to enter one or both of of the following options:

  • Current year projected dollar amount for the remaining year.

  • Next year budget dollar amounts for periods 1-12 for a specific department, jobcode, and paytype combination.

This driver provides a method to save the budget values back to the BudgetXXXX(NY Budget Year)_GlobalLaborPrem table.

To create a Pay Type section in the driver, the budget method (KHAStdLine) in the PayType dimension table must be set to GlobalPremium. The application then populates this driver with data historically posted to the previous and current year actual tables as well as the current year budget table.

To add new Department and Jobcode combinations to the driver, use the insertion link at the bottom of the Pay Type section before you save the driver. When you add a new Dept/Jobcode combination to a PayType section of the driver , the following salary tabs in a plan file are automatically updated with the new account using the GlobalPremium calculation method:

  • Employee

  • Jobcode

Refresh variables

Open the driver, and then select one of the following refresh variables:

Refresh variable Description
Budget Group Department filter based on DEPT.BudgetGroup assignments.
KHACMDimGrp

Calculation method assignments that use DEPT.KHACMDimGrp to assign standard line options to departments.

Default is KHAStdline.

Select one of the following options:

  • Previous Input—Default setting, which allows custom budget values in specific months

  • Prior Year Projected—Uses the Projected Total and spreads the amount evenly over 12 months
Next Year Budget Total budgeted labor premium dollars for next year
Next Year Budget by Month Monthly breakout of labor premium dollars for next year
Next Year Total Budget Total budgeted labor premium dollars for next year, which is the sum of monthly inputs
