Budget Labor Rates

The 14 Budget Labor Rates (Labor Rates) driver defines how wage rates increase for employees. Use this driver to apply rate increases across the organization or for specific budget groups and departments.

You can apply increases by job code A code that identifies a specific job role or position. Job codes are used to group employees and apply labor, pay, and reporting rules. Job codes are defined in the JOBCODE dimension., job class, or step to control how different groups are affected.

The driver supports two types of wage-rate increases:

  • Annual Merit – Applies standard annual increases based on employee effective date. If no employee match is found, the system uses the default merit month.
  • Market Adjustments – Applies additional increases in a specified month based on budget assumptions. You can define up to two market adjustments.
